CrowdStack vs Canny

Canny is the best-known feedback board, priced by how many customers use it. CrowdStack's Feedback board is priced by your team, and every request links to the ticket, the contact and the revenue behind it. Here is how they line up, including where Canny still wins.

Why teams pick CrowdStack

Priced by your team, not your customers

Canny's bill rises every time a new customer votes. CrowdStack is £28 a user a month for your team, and the board can have as many customers on it as you like.

Revenue behind every request

Connect Stripe and each request shows the MRR of the customers asking for it, so you prioritise by value rather than by vote count. Canny needs a CRM integration on Business to get close.

From ticket to request to issue

Log a request from the ticket where it came up, link it to the contact, and connect it to the issues that will ship it. Canny does this through Zendesk, Intercom and Jira integrations, each on the right tier.

AI intake that writes a better request

Guided intake turns a rough idea into a clear request with the questions a product manager would ask, and can produce a build brief. Canny's Autopilot captures feedback from other tools; it does not interview the customer.

Where Canny is the better choice

We would rather you pick the right tool than pick us. Stay on Canny if you want a changelog and in-app widget alongside the board, a custom domain, automatic feedback capture from your other tools, or integrations with the tracker and help desk you already run. Canny is the most complete feedback product there is. CrowdStack Feedback is for teams who want the board in the same tool as the inbox, the CRM and the issues, with the revenue behind each request and a bill that does not grow with their customers.

What is included

Common questions

Is CrowdStack a Canny alternative?

For a public feedback board and roadmap, yes. CrowdStack has requests with voting and comments, statuses, a public board with access controls and moderation, AI intake, revenue behind each request, and links to tickets, contacts and issues. It does not have a changelog, an in-app widget, a custom domain or automatic capture from other tools.

How does the price compare?

Canny Pro is $99 a month for 100 tracked users and climbs as more customers use the board, to $529 at 1,000. CrowdStack is £28 a user a month for your team, so five people pay £140 however many customers vote, and get the help desk, CRM, issues and docs as well. With very few customers Canny's free plan wins; with a growing customer base it does not.

Can I import my feedback from Canny?

Posts export from Canny as CSV and import as requests with title, details, status and vote count. Voter identities come across where the email matches a contact. Email us at support@crowdstack.org before you switch and we will walk through the mapping with you.

What does Canny have that CrowdStack does not?

A changelog, an in-app widget, a custom domain, Autopilot feedback capture, and integrations with Slack, Jira, Linear, GitHub, Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot and Salesforce. If your feedback board needs to plug into a stack of other tools, Canny is the better fit today.
