CrowdStack vs Productboard

Productboard is a product management platform for prioritising, planning and roadmapping, priced per product manager. CrowdStack's Feedback is a public board where requests link to the ticket, the contact and the revenue behind them. Here is how they line up, including where Productboard still wins.

Why teams pick CrowdStack

Revenue behind every request, from Stripe

Connect Stripe and each request shows the MRR of the customers asking for it, with no CRM integration to set up. Productboard's revenue-weighted prioritisation needs Salesforce on Enterprise or manual importance scores.

The whole company on the seat

Productboard prices makers and gives contributors a read-mostly role. CrowdStack is £28 a user a month and every user gets the board, the inbox, the CRM, issues and docs in full.

From ticket to request to issue

Log a request from the ticket where it came up, link it to the contact, and connect it to the issues that will ship it. Productboard collects insights through integrations with the help desk and the tracker you run elsewhere.

A public board customers actually use

Open, verified-email or customers-only access, voting, comments, moderation and guided AI intake that turns a rough idea into a clear request. Productboard's portal is a window onto an internal plan; CrowdStack's board is where the conversation happens.

Where Productboard is the better choice

We would rather you pick the right tool than pick us. Stay on Productboard if you have a product team that needs prioritisation frameworks, objectives, internal roadmaps and a feedback inbox that pulls from every channel, or if you rely on its Slack, Jira and help desk integrations. Productboard is a planning tool first and very good at it. CrowdStack Feedback is for teams who want a public board in the same tool as the inbox, the CRM and the issues, with the revenue behind each request coming straight from Stripe.

Common questions

Is CrowdStack a Productboard alternative?

For collecting and prioritising customer requests on a public board, yes. CrowdStack has requests with voting and comments, statuses, a public board with access controls and moderation, AI intake, revenue behind each request, and links to tickets, contacts and issues, and comes with the help desk, CRM, Stripe revenue, issues and wiki. It does not have prioritisation frameworks, objectives, internal roadmaps or a multi-channel feedback inbox.

How does the price compare for a team of five?

Five users on CrowdStack cost £140 a month at the full rate, with every product and 2500 pooled AI credits included. Productboard charges only makers: two product managers on Business are $150 a month with contributors free, or $50 on Plus with a 500-item cap. For a product team alone Productboard can be cheaper; for the whole company with the inbox and CRM it is not.

Can I import my feedback from Productboard?

Features and insights export from Productboard as CSV and import as requests with title, details and status. Customer links come across where the email matches a contact. Email us at support@crowdstack.org before you switch and we will walk through the mapping with you.

What does Productboard have that CrowdStack does not?

Prioritisation frameworks and scoring, objectives and internal roadmaps, a feedback inbox that ingests email, Slack and support conversations, dynamic customer segments, and integrations with Slack, Jira, Zendesk, Intercom and Salesforce. If your product team plans in a dedicated tool, Productboard is the better fit today.
